Distance: 3,5 km

Duration: 2h

Level of difficulty: low

Municipality: Antequera y Villanueva de la Concepción (Málaga).

Difference in altitude: approx. 200m

The 3 km long circular trail starts in the upper parking lot and finishes in the same Visiting Center. The trail leads through Torcal Alto, a labyrinth like area, in which it is easy to get lost in case you leave the signposted paths. The trail is suited for everyone who would like to get to know the different biotopes and areas close to the Visiting Center. The first and last part of the trail coincide with the Green Trail. Once you have passed the point, where the two trails split, the Yellow Trail leads out into alleys and passages which are mostly in the shade, therefore these areas are more humid and dense in vegetation.

There are numerous stone formations sticking out, like El Dedo, El Camello, La Jarra and La Botella. Furthermore, there are tree structures that look, for example, like the Arc of Montpellier, which has been declared ‘Rincon Singular’ by the Council of Málaga and is included in the ‘Inventario de Árboles y Arboledas de Andalucía’. Without a doubt, this trail is perfect to enjoy ‘El Torcal de Antequera’.
